I picked up my first 35mm camera my freshman year at UNC-Chapel Hill: a Miranda Sensorex. old school all the way, and I was hooked! From that point, it wasn’t long before I moved into a Canon F-1 and Bronica ETRS medium format, and began shooting weddings, special events, publications, actor’s headshots, etc. That was all in the days of film, proof albums, and the like. I had a studio in western NC when digital started making its entrance, but for me it was cost- prohibitive to cross-over and be “all in”. Through the years, while I’ve worn many professional hats, my photography continued in one capacity or another, and I knew the time had come to return to my dream and passion of capturing beautiful sights, moments, people and occasions…if it can be photographed, I can do it.
